The WCSMO-7 organizing committee will provide a welcome reception, excursion, congress banquet and lunches in order for congress participants to enjoy Korean culture and socialize among participants. We hope these activities will be an opportune time to socialize. |

Gyeongbokgung Palace, located in the northern part of Seoul, was the main palace during the Joseon Dynasty (1392-1910). One of the five palaces in Seoul, it has a 600 year history. It was built by the founding King of the Joseon dynasty, Lee Seong-Gye, in 1395 as he moved the capital city from Gyeseong to Seoul.

National Folk Museum, the only national museum in Korea devoted to the history of traditional life, is located in the Gyeongbokgung Palace, In features the aspects of both the traditional folk culture of ordinary people and of the aristocracy, centering particularly on the Joseon Dynasty (1392-1910).

Surrounding Cheonggyecheon, flowing through the central part of Seoul, is a variety of fun activities and delicious eateries open to the public. Museums, a palace, outdoor cafes and restaurants surround the starting point of Cheonggyecheon. The Korea Tourism Organization Tourist Information Center, Hallyu Hall, Dongdaemun Market, and more decorate the surrounding areas of Cheonggyecheon, offering an even more enjoyable time. You can walk around Seoul¡¯s central area, and also go on a tour led by the cultural heritage commentator. |

All participants are invited to the Congress Banquet, following the Excursion. A delicious dinner will be served on board as the boat cruises the Han River from Yoido to Chamsil. |

O'Kim's Bräuhaus located at the 1st floor of COEX, was the first microbrewery in Korea.
There are over 40 international meals, giving you variety as well as the quality you'd expect . |
